Towns Colts Bullish About Finals
Congratulations to the townies colts side for a well fought out game against the top side 'Bulls' on Friday night. They kept in touch with them in the first half and came alight in the 3rd quarter to have a lead of 20points heading into the last quarter.
There was some great team and individual play with Winston dancing through the Bulls packs like they were statues and Sean at his usual best on ground performance and David & ...Benny sent forward in the second half setting up and kicking many goals. With Peter Roe back in the side at full back taking good saving contested marks. Only to go down by 3points at final siren with a bulls comeback of 4 goals to steal the win.
This side has many talented players and as a collective group are capable of beating any side on the day. I would encourage all players to attend training on Tuesday arvo and over the next few weeks to also train on the Thursday leading up to the finals. This will allow us flow as a team and go all the way.
It would also be really appreciated to see some of the seniors come down to training if you can, offer some advise and help these colts bring home a possible premiership. GO TOWNIES......
