Towns Football Club played their first game on 24 July 1949 and are still going strong. Towns are a dedicated team, with an ever changing but cohesive group of skilled players and one of the most passionate groups of supporters around. Towns pride themselves on being family orientated with many social activities inside and outside of football.
Towns have long claimed the southern end of Haynes oval behind the goals as our territory- we set up a tent for the comfort and enjoyment of families and friends, and invite all who wish to come and watch or participate in the many jobs a football team has to do, so we would love to meet you.
As a Club with a long rich history, Towns acknowledges and thanks the Roey (the home of Towns) for their long standing sponsorship, and for providing a home and a showcase for the many trophies, awards and special photos of its teams.
Towns have been a power house in Broome football. Towns went through the season of 1953 undefeated with the full forward kicking 14 goals in the Grand Final. Father McMahon coached the side in 1974 which began a run of 5 flags in a row. When going for their 5th flag in a row their incentive was the five letters that make up TOWNS. In all, Towns have WON 24 Premierships making us the most successful team in this WKFL.
